2008 WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PREVIEW

Head coach Ed Andrewlevich has seven letterwinners back as the Delaware Valley College women's cross country team aims to top last year's fourth-place finish at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships.

Heading the cast of returnees are 2007 all-conference honorees Brittany Schwartz and Caitlin Dorgan. Schwartz, who was a second-team all-MAC runner with a 13th-place finish in 2006, placed seven spots higher in '07 to earn first-team accolades and a medal. She ran the 6K course in a time of 25 minutes, 3.72 seconds.

Dorgan battled through injuries at the end of her freshman season and placed 13th at the MAC Championship to earn second-team honors. She placed in the top five in all five meets during the regular season and ran the MAC course in a time of 25 minutes, 43.71 seconds.

Senior Sara Brown and junior Talesha Karish are also back after each placed in the top 35 at last year's championship. Brown took 33rd with a time of 26 minutes, 46.43 seconds, while Karish was a spot behind with a time of 27 minutes, 8.95 seconds.
