GESSWEIN, PETERMAN HONORED BY MAC

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College sophomore linebacker Kyle Gesswein (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and junior wideout Chad Peterman (Hatboto, PA/Upper Moreland) were each named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Honor Roll for their performances in the Aggies' 34-9 victory at Albright College on November 15.

It is the fourth time that Gesswein has been recognized by the conference this year as he was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week on three prior occasions. Gesswein racked up 10 tackles and 3.5 sacks as the Aggies held the high-powered Albright offense to just 235 yards on the afternoon. Gesswein leads the MAC in both sacks (10.5) and tackles for losses (21) while his 101 total tackles rank second.

Peterman caught three passes for 76 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown to open the team's scoring. He then made one the biggest plays of the game on special teams as he intercepted a pass on a fake field goal attempt in the third quarter and raced 72 yards for a touchdown. Delaware Valley held a 21-9 lead at the time of the interception. For the season, Peterman leads the squad with 28 catches for 321 yards and five touchdowns.

Delaware Valley is 7-3 overall and earned a share of the MAC title with Albright and Lycoming College thanks to a 5-2 mark in league play (Lycoming earned the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA playoffs thanks to a tiebreaker). The Aggies were selected for an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) postseason berth and will host Kean University in the South Atlantic Bowl on Saturday, November 22.
