Hannon is entering his second season as head coach of the Aggie men’s and women’s cross country and track and field (indoor and outdoor) programs. He was promoted after serving a six-year stint as the top assistant.
Last year, Hannon saw one of his track and field athletes - Alexis Maylor - earn a trip to the NCAA Division III Championships.
During Hannon's stint as an assistant, the Delaware Valley cross country and track and field programs received many accolades, led by standouts Meghan Donovan, Caitlin Dorgan, Maylor, om Masterson and Travis Pitts. The five dominated on the conference, regional and national level as they combined for 20 individual Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championships, 10 national-qualifying spots, eight MAC Athlete of the Year awards and seven All-America accolades.
Hannon grew up in the area and graduated from William Tennent High School (Warminster, Pa.) in 2002. During his high school days, he was a Suburban One all-league honoree in cross country in both 2000 and 2001. He was also a track medalist in the 3,200-meter run meet in ’02.
Hannon went onto fellow MAC competitor Messiah College and finished in the top eight in the decathlon at the 2005 and 2006 conference championships. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science in 2006 and later earned a master’s degree in counseling and psychology from the University of West Alabama in 2010.
